Fabric Covers
For a soft, luxurious backdrop, place swags of fabric behind the main table. For unique accents, layer coloured linens on tables instead of plain white linens. Decorating with tulle and other inexpensive fabrics is an easy way to create a tent ceiling to cover plain architecture, or to create a colourful walkway at the reception entrance.
Candles
Candles are cheap wedding ceremony supplies but they bring a luxurious feel to any event. Tea light, pillar, and votive candles can be placed on mirrors at tables. Floating candles in clear glass bowls look lovely in every occasion. Flower or heart-shaped candles lead a romantic feel. Consider adding a few beads around the candles for a finish tough.
Christmas Lights
A lot of people use Christmas lights all year round on their back porches as a simple and elegant decoration. And these lights make a beautiful addition to any wedding reception venue. They can be placed around tables, around the cake, in potted plants or be hung from the ceiling. Instead of Christmas lights, you can use lanterns.
Ribbons
Seat covers are often expensive to rent and a lot of work to make. Instead of seat covers, get some beautiful wide ribbon to tie on the backs of the chairs. The ribbon is a cheap alternative compared to fancy seat covers that can add elegance and spruce things up. Call your friends to get the ribbons cut and tied for the big day.
Make sure you place your decorations strategically. Concentrate them at the main focal points such as reception tables, instead of spending more money on decorations for obscure areas. Your guests are going to be focused on places where things are happening, so don't give a lot of though to corners no one will notice.
