Films have been one of the most preferred sources of entertainment for adults and children for decades now. Other than live-action films, animation films have their own rightful place when it comes to entertaining us, especially children across generations. There are some mind-blowing cartoon characters that have captured our minds and have become immortal with their endearing presence and antics. These lovable and iconic characters will continue to live in our hearts for their sheer entertainment value and uniqueness. Some of them are:
Bugs Bunny is one of the greatest cartoons ever made in the history of animation. The hilarious rabbit first appeared in ‘Porky’s Hare Hunt’ with a different name in 1938. Later, Tex Avery, its creator, changed its name to Bugs Bunny. It enchanted people of all ages with its individuality and soon became a Saturday morning staple along with cereals for kids. The famous line ‘What’s up doc?’, which he smartly mouths in New York accent while munching on a carrot, still lingers and the character is still going strong as a favored one.
Among other greats, Popeye deserves its equitable place when it comes to the best of cartoons to watch anytime. Created by E. C. Segar, Popeye started out as a comic strip. And later in 1933, it was launched as a series called Popeye the Sailor. It became an instant hit among the audience with its sidesplitting style. The plots generally involve a bad guy, mostly Bluto, who tries to make a move on Popeye’s girl Olive Oyl. Popeye gobbles up spinach to get superhuman powers to tackle Bluto and save Olive Oyl from him. The situations are always very funny. Popeye’s bulging arms and squinty eyes add hilarity and the lines like ‘Well, blow me down!’ and ‘I eats my spinach!’ are immensely popular among fans.
Mickey Mouse, created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1928, is one of the most favored cartoons to watch worldwide. This adorable anthropomorphic mouse looks unique and funny in red shorts, large yellow shoes, and white gloves. From comic strips to TV series to films, Mickey Mouse has dominated everywhere when it comes to the greatest cartoons ever. Mickey Mouse is always accompanied with his girlfriend Minnie Mouse and his pet dog Pluto, who are equally loved by people. It is the official mascot of Walt Disney Company. Kids simply love the video games featuring Mickey Mouse. He is one of the prominent meetable characters in the Disney parks.
The most interesting thing about Pink Panther is that he inspires the legendary jazzy saxophone tune as soon as one sees him. The inspiration of Pink Panther cartoons was the film in which the French police is looking for a large and valuable pink diamond, called Pink Panther. The Pink Panther in the cartoon series is actually a panther and is chased by a funny looking man with mustache (detective). Even today, Pink Panther is broadcasting on Boomerang, but children do also watch cartoons online.
